Akos Toth, MSc

Junior Researcher

Akos Toth is a PhD student who graduated with an MSc in Medical Biology at Babes Bolyai University. He is investigating the molecular mechanisms of renal ischemia/reperfusion injury and pulmonary fibrosis, and he is exploring the pathomechanisms of multiorgan damage caused by perinatal asphyxia. He is familiar with conventional molecular biology methods and is competent in working with different cell cultures and animal models. Akos is also skilled in several microsurgical techniques with rodents. As a junior researcher, he focuses on finding novel methods to improve efficacy and develop new therapies for pulmonary and renal disease.
