Reka Antal
Junior Researcher
Réka holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology with a specialization in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and is currently pursuing her PhD at Semmelweis University. Her research experience spans translational biomedical research, ocular angiogenesis, and therapeutic compound development, with particular expertise in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and in vivo experimentation. As a member of the Translational Retina Research Group, she has contributed to studies investigating cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in retinal disease and potential therapeutic interventions.
At SigmaDrugs, Réka focuses on the development of novel therapeutic approaches for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Her background in pharmaceutical biotechnology and translational research supports the team’s efforts in evaluating and advancing new drug candidates toward potential therapeutic applications.
